Honeydew Cocktail


Well, I hate (really really hate) to say it but…this is it. Our last hurrah of summer. The mornings have started getting nippier and there’s just that smell and angle of the light that tells me fall is right around the corner. We’re not those people that get on the pumpkin train in early September. No, we hold on to summer and the fruits of the season until sometime in November. So, instead of a fall recipe, we bring you a late summer cocktail featuring the honeydew melon…a fruit at its tasty peak during the summer months. We mixed Midori (honeydew liqueur) with cilantro simple syrup (yes, cilantro!), gin, lime juice, and frozen honeydew melon as our ‘ice cubes’. The resulting drink is tangy and sweet (but not too sweet!) and oozes summer. If you’re like us and not quite ready for summer to end you need to give this cocktail a try!

Honeydew Cocktail:


3 oz. gin
1.5 oz. simple syrup
1.5 oz. midori or melon flavored liqueur
3 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
4-6 frozen honeydew melon cubes


1. Add ingredients to drink mixer with ice and shake. Pour into glass with frozen melon cubes and enjoy.
